  Question: Installing a map update on a Navman/Moov Spirit device
  Answer:
 

QUICK STEPS


  1. Download the map file from the link in your email and save the file to (My) Documents > My Maps.
  2. Connect your device to the PC and turn it on.
  3. Open MioMore Desktop 2.
  4. If you are offered any updates via MioMore Desktop please download and install these.
  5. Go to MY MIO > Activation > Enter the Activation Key sent to you by email > Continue > Finish.
  6. Go to My maps and open the map file (MapData).
  7. Under My Mio > Remove the maps currently installed on your Mio.
  8. Under Map Source > Make a selection of the countries you would like to install > click Install maps > Transfer now.
  9. Go to My subscriptions > Recover subscriptions.

    Helpful hint: If the map file isn't listed under the My maps tab, make sure the map file has been saved under (My) Documents > My Maps.


In more detail



    Please ensure that you have MioMore Desktop installed from the DVD supplied with your device and that you have removed the disc from your DVD drive.


    1. Download the map file from the link in your email and save the file to (My) Documents > My Maps.
    2. Connect your device to your PC and turn it on.
    3. Open MioMore Desktop 2.
    4. If you are offered any updates via MioMore Desktop please download and install these.



    5. Select the Installer Language and follow the instructions in the Installation Wizard to install the software updates.


    6. Go to MY MIO > Activation and enter the Activation Key sent to you by email.



    7. Click Continue > Finish.



    8. Go to My maps and open the map file (MapData).



    9. Under My Mio > Tick Europe and click Remove maps > Yes.



    10. Under Map Source > Europe > Select the countries you would like to install.



    11. Click Install maps > Transfer now.


    12. When the maps have finished transferring click Close.



    13. Go to My subscriptions > Recover subscriptions > Yes.



    14. When done, click Finish.



    15. Close down MioMore Desktop.
    16. Disconnect the device.

    As the map files are getting bigger and bigger with every map update, there is a possibility that not all the maps will fit on your device at once. You will not lose the authorisation of the new maps even if they are not installed right away. They can be installed anytime in the future.
